Consultant learning & development
Hays invests in its people. From day one, you will receive an induction training, which will be followed by the 'New Consultant Training'. During this training, you will be immersed in the life and job of a consultant. You will not only have a group training that combines theory and practice, but also an on-the-job training with the manager. Furthermore, you can also count on our Field Coach to lift you to a higher level with individual training sessions.

Junior Consultant

6 months - 1 yearConsultant
The role is varied and fast paced, with lots of liaising with clients and candidates. You will directly contribute to the growth of your division by developing your client base and attracting excellent candidates.
1-2 yearsSenior Consultant
Responsible for generating new business through sales activity and developing existing client relationships through flawless customer service. Senior Consultants have larger targets with regards to fees and other KPIs – all achievable through your added experience.
1-2 yearsTeam Leader
As a team leader, you manage different people, in addition to your job as a consultant. In this way, you still manage your business, but you also gain experience in people management.

Business Unit Managers are responsible for maximising the individual fee performance of both themselves and their team by effectively managing all aspects of the recruitment process. They drive business development and key account initiatives to meet budget and growth targets.

As Branch Manager, you manage an entire office and the various Business Unit Managers.

The National Director is the head of the entire recruitment department. The Business Director determines the strategic direction and objectives of the recruiting department, which in turn supports the business’s growth while simultaneously maintaining its culture and quality Hays standards.
